Level 2 training builds on the knowledge you gained in Level 1 training.
Online workshops are delivered in real time in a virtual meeting room.
Content
Level 2 training provides a practical learning session on how apply the Makaton Communication Programme. The Level 2 Workshop builds on topics learnt from Level 1 training including; people, food, activities, objects and events. New vocabulary will also be introduced which is ideal for the school environment and work places. You will begin to learn more abstract concepts such as spatial locations, attributes, pronouns and actions.
Duration
Online workshops comprise of a minimum of seven learning hours. Workshop durations will be longer if your Workshop is ran over a number of days. Workshop content can be delivered flexibly, and is often provided in two to four sessions on one or more days.
Deliver method: Zoom, Webex or Teams.

Please raise if you have any challenges or additional needs, so reasonable adjustments can be made to support your learning and participation.
Entry criteria
Participants must have attended Level 1 training.
Study materials
you will receive a Participant's Manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.
You will also be given a certificate of attendance. Please remember to keep your Level 2 training certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training.

After completing Level 2 training you can continue on your Makaton journey by attending Level 3 training.
